Charlie's Comic Con Founded in 2023

Charlie’s Comic Con was established in Fort Myers, Florida, by Charles Nunez, a proud Latino and veteran with a vision to bring the excitement of comic conventions to every city.

Our very first convention took place on June 3–4, 2023, marking the beginning of something truly special. What started as a local event has since grown into a movement dedicated to creativity, community, and connection—uniting fans from all walks of life under one roof.

We’re a small but passionate team of promoters, designers, developers, and champions of diversity, united by one big dream—to make Charlie’s Comic Con a household name. Our mission is to bring exciting, inclusive conventions to cities and states that have never had the chance to experience the magic of a comic con. Together, we’re making fandom accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Our credo, “Celebrate Us,” embodies the heart and soul of Charlie’s Comic Con. We proudly welcome and celebrate diversity in all its forms—including members of the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, people with autism, people of color, and everyone in between.

Conventions are for everyone—and that means families too! At Charlie’s Comic Con, we proudly promote a family-friendly atmosphere where parents and kids can share in the excitement together. We believe that creating memories with your loved ones is priceless, and our events are designed to be safe, welcoming, and fun for all ages.

Charlie’s Comic Con wouldn’t exist without comics—the foundation of imagination, storytelling, and creativity.
